Life certainly has its challenges.  At times you may feel stuck, lost, misunderstood, or disconnected.  This can lead to overwhelming feelings of anxiety, sadness, and frustration.  I work with young adults and teens in various transitions in their lives who struggle with such feelings, and believe relief from such negative places is possible.

Challenges can arise throughout life, such as trying to navigate through relationships with family, friends, co-workers, and staff; or trying to establish a healthy personal or professional relationship.  Maybe you’ve just started a new job or a new business and are not sure how to manage working with different personalities.  Maybe you’ve become a new parent and you’re not sure how to manage your changed relationship with your partner, as well as figure out how to raise a child who is looking to you for guidance.  My goal is to provide a safe place for you to explore and resolve such challenges, and help you increase your quality of life.

I work towards giving you a safe place to share unspoken fears, nudging you toward addressing underlying issues and helping to resolve them.  My aim is to help you learn to communicate more effectively in your personal and professional relationships; as parents, feel more supported and better able to manage your child’s needs; and help entrepreneurs better understand how to manage and lead your team to better run successful businesses.

I will offer support, validation, and insight to help you get to your best.  As a result, you should feel understood, relieved, hopeful, and more focused.  Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary in-person, phone, or video consultation.

I believe that understanding the importance and significance of the mind and body connection leads to fundamental psychological change.  My goal is to help you realize the power of the mind, and how our thoughts about ourselves and the world around us impacts our feelings, relationships and overall health.  In accordance, my specialty in Health Psychology allows me to comprehensively help you cope with the diagnosis of medical conditions and make lifestyle changes.

I am passionate about helping you find opportunities to learn and grow behind every experience, which is why I am also dedicated to working with individuals who have experienced emotional and/or physical trauma, domestic violence, and childhood trauma.  Gaining a better understanding of the biological, psychological, and social repercussions of trauma helps you get to a healthier, happier place mentally.  With each experience and change comes an array of emotions such as happiness, anger, anxiety, and sadness, and I want to help you navigate through the emotions and find your path.

In addition to working with young professionals, I work with adolescents as well.  Challenges arise during this transitional time of life, and I work with teens and their families to increase positive healthy behaviors, reduce stress, improve their mood, and enhance communication skills.  Recognizing that each individual is different, I modify my approach to fit your needs.  Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary in-person, phone, or video consultation.

Life is ever changing, and with change can bring a plethora of other emotions including stress, depression and anxiety.  It takes strength to seek help when we are feeling most vulnerable.  I aim to create a safe, warm, and supportive connection with another person and use that connection to cultivate change.  I’d like to help you become empowered to accomplish your own goals and to take control of your life.

All transitions are difficult, whether it is anticipated or unexpected change. As adults, we have many responsibilities to uphold.  This can include career, relationships, and family, emotional and physical health.  Specifically, with regards to health I have an extensive background working with individuals with new medical diagnosis or health concerns.  Receiving such a diagnosis can be shocking and scary, and it’s my role to support you to focus on hope for the future and to provide an empathetic space.

In addition to working with medical related transitions, I am committed to working with individuals who have experienced grief, loss, and trauma or abuse.  Every individual is unique and responds differently when feeling hopeless and stressed. It is my aim to guide you through your journey to wellness, emphasizing your strengths and resiliency, and the control you possess.

I have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with adults of all ages through challenges in their lifetime.  I will provide you with unconditional positive regard and support.  Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary in-person, phone, or video consultation.

Your experiences and perceptions are real because they’re yours.  When you feel a certain way, it is significant, even if others may suggest that what’s on our mind is “really not that big of a deal.”  If your instinct is telling you something doesn’t feel right, you deserve a chance to explore that.  I want to explore those ideas with you, and provide a space where you feel comfortable talking about whatever you want in a safe and judgment-free zone.  I want to encourage you to sit with the uncomfortable feelings you may be having so we can recognize that they are real.  We can then begin to look at what’s behind those feelings and work towards a better sense of control over them.

Often times, our issues include other factors than what we see on the surface.  I like taking an encompassing approach to learn about you on many different levels, like your social circles, cultural expectations, work environment, etc., to understand you better.  Most importantly, I will follow your lead with what you want to talk about, and I will provide support and offer ideas along the way.

I enjoy working with adults across the lifespan who struggle with anxiety and depression, and specifically with the LGBTQ community, and those struggling with social exclusion.  Let’s work together with the goal of understanding the unpleasant feelings so they become more manageable.  Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary in-person, phone, or video consultation.
