I believe that understanding the importance and significance of the mind and body connection leads to fundamental psychological change. My goal is to help you realize the power of the mind, and how our thoughts about ourselves and the world around us impacts our feelings, relationships and overall health. In accordance, my specialty in Health Psychology allows me to comprehensively help you cope with the diagnosis of medical conditions and make lifestyle changes.
I am passionate about helping you find opportunities to learn and grow behind every experience, which is why I am also dedicated to working with individuals who have experienced emotional and/or physical trauma, domestic violence, and childhood trauma. Gaining a better understanding of the biological, psychological, and social repercussions of trauma helps you get to a healthier, happier place mentally. With each experience and change comes an array of emotions such as happiness, anger, anxiety, and sadness, and I want to help you navigate through the emotions and find your path.
In addition to working with young professionals, I work with adolescents as well. Challenges arise during this transitional time of life, and I work with teens and their families to increase positive healthy behaviors, reduce stress, improve their mood, and enhance communication skills. In addition to working with medical related transitions, I am committed to working with individuals who have experienced grief, loss, and trauma or abuse. Every individual is unique and responds differently when feeling hopeless and stressed. Your experiences and perceptions are real because they’re yours. When you feel a certain way, it is significant, even if others may suggest that what’s on our mind is “really not that big of a deal.” If your instinct is telling you something doesn’t feel right, you deserve a chance to explore that. I want to explore those ideas with you, and provide a space where you feel comfortable talking about whatever you want in a safe and judgment-free zone. I want to encourage you to sit with the uncomfortable feelings you may be having so we can recognize that they are real. We can then begin to look at what’s behind those feelings and work towards a better sense of control over them.

I like taking an encompassing approach to learn about you on many different levels, like your social circles, cultural expectations, work environment, etc., to understand you better.
