Life certainly has its challenges. At times you may feel stuck, lost, misunderstood, or disconnected. This can lead to overwhelming feelings of anxiety, sadness, and frustration. I work with young adults and teens in various transitions in their lives who struggle with such feelings, and believe relief from such negative places is possible.
Challenges can arise throughout life, such as trying to navigate through relationships with family, friends, co-workers, and staff; or trying to establish a healthy personal or professional relationship. Maybe you’ve just started a new job or a new business and are not sure how to manage working with different personalities. Maybe you’ve become a new parent and you’re not sure how to manage your changed relationship with your partner, as well as figure out how to raise a child who is looking to you for guidance. My goal is to provide a safe place for you to explore and resolve such challenges, and help you increase your quality of life.
I work towards giving you a safe place to share unspoken fears, nudging you toward addressing underlying issues and helping to resolve them. My aim is to help you learn to communicate more effectively in your personal and professional relationships; as parents, feel more supported and better able to manage your child’s needs; and help entrepreneurs better understand how to manage and lead your team to better run successful businesses.
I will offer support, validation, and insight to help you get to your best. As a result, you should feel understood, relieved, hopeful, and more focused. Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary in-person, phone, or video consultation.
We face struggles in this life and through introspection, humor, and support, we persevere. From the development and focus on our individual resources, we gain the momentum to overcome. It is my belief that supportive relationships tend to be of utmost value to us when we are faced with struggle. Through these relationships, we find direction.
It is my desire to support you in finding that very direction. My approach is purposeful, collaborative, and authentic. I will work hard to develop a strong therapeutic alliance with you. I see the client-therapist relationship as the foundation of the change-making journey. I am warm, welcoming, and validating while also direct and goal-focused. I operate from a strength-based approach and am devoted to helping you to explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I am committed to helping you to increase self-awareness and to develop resources to better cope.
My areas of expertise include working with adolescents and young adults who present with challenges that may include anxiety, depression, and trauma. In addition, I am skilled in helping clients to manage urban stress, navigate life transitions, and enhance their self-worth. We will begin exactly where you are at, and I will be honored to assist you in creating that life that you so desire. Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary in-person, phone, or video consultation.

Life is ever changing, and with change can bring a plethora of other emotions including stress, depression and anxiety. It takes strength to seek help when we are feeling most vulnerable. I aim to create a safe, warm, and supportive connection with another person and use that connection to cultivate change. I’d like to help you become empowered to accomplish your own goals and to take control of your life.
All transitions are difficult, whether it is anticipated or unexpected change. As adults, we have many responsibilities to uphold. This can include career, relationships, and family, emotional and physical health. Specifically, with regards to health I have an extensive background working with individuals with new medical diagnosis or health concerns. Receiving such a diagnosis can be shocking and scary, and it’s my role to support you to focus on hope for the future and to provide an empathetic space.
In addition to working with medical related transitions, I am committed to working with individuals who have experienced grief, loss, and trauma or abuse. Every individual is unique and responds differently when feeling hopeless and stressed. It is my aim to guide you through your journey to wellness, emphasizing your strengths and resiliency, and the control you possess.
I have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with adults of all ages through challenges in their lifetime. I will provide you with unconditional positive regard and support. Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary in-person, phone, or video consultation.
Your experiences and perceptions are real because they’re yours. When you feel a certain way, it is significant, even if others may suggest that what’s on our mind is “really not that big of a deal.” If your instinct is telling you something doesn’t feel right, you deserve a chance to explore that. I want to explore those ideas with you, and provide a space where you feel comfortable talking about whatever you want in a safe and judgment-free zone. I want to encourage you to sit with the uncomfortable feelings you may be having so we can recognize that they are real. We can then begin to look at what’s behind those feelings and work towards a better sense of control over them.
Often times, our issues include other factors than what we see on the surface. I like taking an encompassing approach to learn about you on many different levels, like your social circles, cultural expectations, work environment, etc., to understand you better. Most importantly, I will follow your lead with what you want to talk about, and I will provide support and offer ideas along the way.
I enjoy working with adults across the lifespan who struggle with anxiety and depression, and specifically with the LGBTQ community, and those struggling with social exclusion. Let’s work together with the goal of understanding the unpleasant feelings so they become more manageable. Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary in-person, phone, or video consultation.

Sometimes our struggles become too big or overwhelming for us to manage. We’ve all been there. At times, we might ignore the struggles, or seek help from a trusted friend or family member, or even try to “fix” things ourselves. Contacting a therapist may not have been your first step in trying to resolve your personal challenges, but help from an unbiased ear could be your next step in helping to resolve your toughest struggles. You are not alone in seeking a different kind of help, and many people have benefited from therapy.
I am passionate about being a professional support for you, and helping you find the change you are looking for. I believe therapy can help you gain important insight, work through painful emotions, and make lasting changes. I strive to provide a calming and compassionate space for you to explore the unique struggles you are facing whether it be depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or relationship conflicts.
I work with adults, couples, and college students. My approach is fundamentally focused on you and your personal experiences, and my techniques are based on your needs and strengths. I will often guide you through parts of your past to help make sense of patterns you engage in today. While we won’t necessarily stay in the past, it is a good place to gather information. I also like to use tangible techniques to help you make progress toward your goals.
Whether or not you have specific goals in mind, I believe you will gain confidence in your ability to approach familiar patterns with a fresh perspective. Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary in-person, phone, or video consultation
